Excelent hotel, spa, restaurants... Couldn't be better. First class treatment. I recomend to stay at the one bedroom villa. Makes a real difference. Not to mention going on foot to Epcot (I mean for those who walk - I myself on my speedy scooter...). Any time. Also great treatment for disable people - which is rare. Dream come true. Hope be going back soon ...
In August 2013 my 2 adult children (with spouses) and I spent 4 nights at the Beach Club Villas in Disney World. - A party of 5 adults. We had requested a 2BR unit with a Canal View and the largest balcony. The 2BR had a fully stocked kitchen with oven, microwave, apartment-sized frig, and a dishwasher. There was also a washer/dryer. WE loved the accommodations! I am a 66 yr young female who loves Disney. This my 11th trip to WDW but my first stay at the Beach Club Villas The 2BR/2 bath was about 1000 sq ft. - one bedroom had a king bed. The other had a queen bed and a queen pull out sofa. My kids said all beds were comfortable. Lots of drawer and closet space. I slept on the very comfortable queen sofa bed in the living room. Each of the 3 living areas had sliding doors out to the balcony. Lots of space for 5 adults. There was even a foyer! We cooked breakfast in the kitchen every morning. A time and calorie saver. The Marketplace in the hotel had a limited but good selection of groceries (eggs, bread, butter, bacon, frozen veggies, milk, peanut butter, cheeses, etc). The Grocery store at the nearby Boardwalk was better stocked. Having the frig was great - we brought leftovers from dinner back to the room for late snacking The 4 pools are great. 3 are quiet pools and one has a lazy river for tubing and a slide. Of course, there is pool side bar! We discovered we could buy rum and gin and soda in the Marketplace. Wine could be bought in many EPCOT "countries". France, Italy and Germany had reasonably priced bottles of wine. Housekeeping gives you everything you need - loads of towels, dishwasher and laundry soap, paper towels, sugar, coffee for the coffee maker, sponges, etc. Besides the pools, you can rent water craft and bikes. You are a short walk to the Boardwalk area which has a fun dueling piano bar, called Jellyrolls, arcades, a bakery and a shops. The only down side of the Villas is that it is a long walk thru the regular Beach Club hotel to get to the International Gateway (by France) in EPCOT. In addition, there is no transportation to the front of EPCOT. Otherwise, the water launches and buses were great and came every 15 min. Beach Club 2BR Villas are expensive but cheaper than 3 rooms. Also, I have a Disney Chase Credit card. I had enough Reward points to save $1400!! I highly recommend the villas for families.
Disney's Beach Club Villas are not only beautiful, clean and neat, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Another thing that makes the Villas very nice is its proximity to Epcot. The pools are great wether you want an active pool or a quiet relaxing pool! I'm looking forward to my next visit!
2nd time at the villas . two bedroom two bath full kitchen washer dryer ,all the comforts of home . the location if you are an Epcot fan is the Best around no waiting walk right into the park. the pool is the best around the employees all great except for a couple at front desk just seemed didnt want to be asked too many questions ,again only a couple during the 9 day stay the decor is getting a little dated : rugs in room and hallways, room furniture, shower heads, but the rooms where clean
We were lucky enough to use time share points from friends who belong to the Disney Vacation Club to stay here in a 1-bedroom Villa. We couldn't have been happier! The room was spotless. The main bed was very comfortable. The hideaway bed in the couch was the most comfortable such bed that we've ever found. The grounds of the entire resort were spotless, and the service was excellent at all locations. The proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and access to the water shuttle boats are awesome. Like all Disney resorts, the bus transportation system is excellent as well. But, by far, the best part of this resort is the pool! It's outstanding. The slide is great. The shallow sand-bottom pools with the sand peninsula for kids is great. Same for the lazy river & main sand-bottom pool. In the main pool, the water volleyball games are a lot of fun. All age groups would like this pool area. The villas also have a small, relatively private pool for a quick dip, etc. as well, which is nice. This resort made us discuss for the first time actually becoming a Disney Vacation Club members. Highly recommended!
Beautiful lobby, awesome pool area, excellent service and great location walking-distance to Epcot, but the rooms are inexcusably shabby for what they cost. The carpets in the hallways leading to the room are dated and very dirty. They were testing out new hallway carpeting, but it was ugly; far too modern to fit with the surrounding turn-of-the-century (1900s) theming and was already quite visibly stained. Spots will show too easily on the geometric striped, gray-and-white pattern. Hopefully they quickly realize it's a poor choice and abort that experiment! We had a less-than-desirable location on the third floor (365) that faced the woods and a heavily traveled road. We could hear the elevator from the main room and bus traffic from the bedroom. The rooms are spacious, but again, extremely dated and worn. The carpet was filthy and pilled up from gross overuse, and the furniture was tired, uncomfortable and very unattractive. Even though it's only 11 years old, the colors screamed early 90s-- cream and green cabinetry, peach tile with blue dolphins, and hideous peach and blue beach-themed polyester bedspreads (who even USES those nasty things anymore??). The stove still has coil burners, and instead of an ice maker, the freezer featured two cracked and leaky plastic ice trays. The shower, toilet, sink and tub were clean, but the grout looked dirty, the showerhead got stuck spraying out a single gush of water like a faucet (but was fixed the same day), and the wall around the bottom of the shower was water-damaged, puckered and peeling. Transportation was fine to most parks, but getting to the Studios was a joke. The hotel offers no Studios bus stop, but the boats arrived filled to capacity twice in a row, making us late for a dinner reservation. Another day there was only a single boat running. We love the location, but having stayed at numerous other non-DVC (timeshare) Disney resorts, it's obvious Disney doesn't care about the upkeep of its timeshare properties. I cannot recommend anyone pay Disney's rates for these poorly maintained rooms.
We have been to this resort at least 6 times in the last 12 years, and I can't wait to go back again. There is always something to do either in the parks or around the resorts. The Kids never get bored. For smaller children, the sand bottom pool is awesome. For older kids or just kids at heart like myself, there is a giant pirate slide and whirlpool and lazy river that you can just float through and under the bridges that are built over the pool. They have Movies on the beach every night. Or you can hang out at beaches and cream and get the best banana split you will ever eat. Watch the fireworks at Epcot form the resort. Adults can hang out in the whirlpools scattered across the resorts. The decor is so bright and happy, it's almost impossible to have a bad time. Take the boat across the lagoon to Boardwalk and watch some free entertainment, or walk over to epcot. Rent a surrey bike and bike around the lagoon. Obviously I can go on and on. The rooms are bright and cheery, quiet, and are well stocked with everything you need. the service is always friendly and housekeeping is quick to respond to requests. I think they have refurbished some of the rooms, our room this time was impeccable. everything looked new. As far as dining...Cape May Buffet-YUM! bring on the clams and crab legs! Love it.
Can't beat the location of the Beach Club! What's not to love about a 5 minute walk to Epcot?! All the cast members we encountered were friendly, check in was very efficient, and the resort is just beautiful. We had a 2 bedroom villa that was very well appointed. The carpet was showing some wear, but that is to be expected in a resort that gets as much traffic as a Disney resort does. Despite the carpet wear, the room was immaculate, and the painters had JUST been there to touch up some spots that needed attention. The boat service was nice, and the pool at this resort is the place to be in the summer!
